In the Best Of The Web series we chat to stylish creatives from all over the world, hearing their views on everything from fashion, social media, music and more. We’ve interviewed models, bloggers, musicians and artists, and this week we’re with yoga duo the YoGoGirls.

Putting the fun and creativity back into yoga, duo Debby and Michelle, i.e the YoGoGirls, have inspired and entertained their followers with their quirky photo shoots, humorous and informative blog posts, and down to earth personalities. Their artistic shots have an acrobatic, performance focused look, and takes a step back from the traditional beach at sunset backdrop. We caught up with these talented athletes to hear what they’ve been up to recently as well as their views on men’s fashion and style.

How’s your year been so far? Any major highlights?

2016 holds many prospects for YoGoGirls. As we prepare to take over Bicycling Magazine’s Instagram account – @bicyclingmag the second week of February, a St Louis climbing supplies manufacturer – So iLL – has been filming us for a feature in their mini series on athletes from around the country. The series is called Take Hold and has some incredible footage (some from drones) of our acrobatics at one of St. Louis’ biggest attractions – City Museum.

What song have you got on repeat at the moment?

Debby – Cage the Elephant; Aint No Rest for the Wicked

Michelle – Missy Elliot; WTF

What fashion advice do you have for a man?

Debby – Take care of your physique. Nothing tops looking great naked. But if you must don clothes, try out the sporty leisure look, and keep in mind women like shoes. Yours will be noticed. If you’ve got facial hair, tend to it. Nobody wants a poke in the eye while she’s finding your lips.

Michelle – Shower, brush your teeth. Put on a pair of dark jeans, (fit is of the utmost importance) a t-shirt a pair of stylish trainers and accessorise with a Leica camera.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?

Debby – Buy stock in Microsoft.

Michelle – Don’t worry so much about what other people think of you. You don’t need to please everyone to be loved, you just have to be happy with yourself.

One tip to grow your Instagram account

Instagram is a social network. Create your community of Instagram friends by responding to comments; visiting and liking other’s work; and invoke with your images. Keep your posts conversational, not salesy. People want to be visually entertained on this medium.

Any major plans for 2016?

We live in the moment! Our only plans are to continue to live playfully and try to give back as much as we can.
