#RoundTheWorldTrip is a pretty common end to Sarah’s Instagram snaps. Kick-starting her blog as a creative outlet, the Belgium born girl with a twinkle of wanderlust in her eye has been jetting around the world, exploring the cultural scenes of the continents and sprinkling in a peppy style post here and there.

Can you tell us a little bit about what you do and when you got into it?

I’m a 25-year-old personal style blogger from Belgium. I started my blog Palm trees and Heels in February 2014. After graduating as a Master of Communication Sciences, I felt the need to build up a place where I could express myself and share the things I love the most. In December 2015, I started a round the world trip with my boyfriend, so these days, I mainly blog about this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

How’s 2015 been for you? Any major highlights?

I made the huge decision to quit my job, say goodbye to my family and friends and go on a round the world trip. The last few months we have been exploring Australia and New Zealand. Celebrating Christmas on the beach was something I’ll never forget. Swimming with sharks was another highlight.

What song have you got on repeat at the moment?

Justin Bieber – Sorry. In Australia and New Zealand it’s on the radio all the time, so lucky me. It’s quite a catchy song and I really love it.

What fashion advice do you have for a man?

Stay true to yourself and wear what fits your body shape best. Blindly following fashion trends is never a good idea. See what fits you and wear what you like. For me, simplicity is key. Never forget to wear a nice perfume as I’m very sensitive to a nice smell. So remember, if the outfit isn’t perfect, the perfume can still make something right.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?

Always believe in yourself and don’t let other people tell you what you can and can’t do. There’s nothing wrong with dreaming or having different aspirations in life than others.

1 tip to grow your Instagram account?

Be active and post on a regular basis. But only post what you really like. A positive vibe can help a lot too.

What’s the one thing you never want to see a guy wearing?

Hmm, I guess everyone should wear what fits his personality, but wearing make-up or even worse, nail polish, is a major turn off to me. There’s just nothing attractive about that.

Any major plans for 2016?

I already traversed Australia and right now I’m exploring New Zealand. Next on the list are Asia and some parts of South America. I look forward to seeing so many beautiful places, experience new cultures, meet different people, eat strange things… Yep, 2016 will be all about traveling. And blogging about it, of course.

What is your one guilty pleasure?

Definitely chocolate. Nothing beats bingewatching Netflix (Orange Is The New Black!) while eating loads of chocolate. I know it’s such a big cliché but hey, I’m from Belgium, so can you blame me? That’s one of the things I miss the most about Belgium, there’s no better chocolate than in my home country.

Who’s the most stylish man on the planet for you right now?

I don’t have one guy in mind, but I really love my boyfriends laidback clothing style. He likes to wear a nice pair of jeans with a simple but pretty shirt and a fitted leather jacket. That’s how I like it; don’t put too much effort into it, but still be aware of what you’re wearing and what fits you best.
