Can you tell us a little bit about what you do and when you got into it?
I’ve been singing professionally in the ‘pop music industry’ for about 4 years now, after being a musical theatre performer for most of my child hood. After recently splitting from pop group, Only the Young, I’m now working on my solo music, am writing, constantly in the recording studio, even now I’m sitting in the hair and makeup chair at a promo shoot!
How’s 2015 been for you? Any major highlights?
2015 was quite a tricky one for me, after dealing with a few personal downfalls and splitting with the band soon after, I almost felt like I was going through a really tough break up and needed time to recuperate…But 2016 is definitely on the up! I’ve been working really hard on new music, have been shooting at London fashion week, have recently signed a new PR deal, and am really focusing on building up my brand and finishing off my album.
What song have you got on repeat at the moment?
Absolutely loving Charlie Puth x Selena Gomez – We don’t talk anymore. It’s an absolute banger. So chill & sexy!
What fashion advice do you have for a man?
Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. 100% the most important thing! Shoes/good trainers can compliment any outfit. Even if your rocking a casual tracksuit, but with a wicked pair of trainers, it can really finish off the look.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?
Stop stressing. What matters now, will not matter this time next year!
1 tip to grow your Instagram account
Keep your posts generally looking the same. People like uniformity and a set style… If you’ve got a colour scheme, try and post everything within that palette. Monochrome is really in at the minute.
What’s the one thing you never want to see a guy wearing?
Socks and sandals. In fact I’m not a huge fan of sandals in general!!
Any major plans for 2016?
2016 is set to be a big year. I’m releasing my first solo single this summer, which I’m super excited about. It’s a really personal song to me and I’m excited to start the radio, tv & press tour for that. I love being on the road and I love working.
What is your one guilty pleasure?
I go to Benihana at least once a month. It’s an amazing tempanyaki restaurant (they have a few locations, but Mayfair & Chelsea are my favourites). They’re a perfect place for a date, it’s fun & food is amazing.
Who’s the most stylish man on the planet for you right now?
I think Justin Bieber is really rocking it at the moment. At red carpets he looks so suave, and then when he’s on instagram he rocks his casual clothes too. It’s the perfect balance. He’s also smashing the MyCalvins campaign with Calvin Klein…Highlighting the importance of good underwear!
