We chatted to photographer and visual storyteller Mr Whisper
Check out the rest of the Best Of The Web pieces.
In the Best Of The Web we chat to some of the most stylish creatives from all over the world, asking them questions on a number of subjects such as their worst date, who they see as the most stylish man on the planet, and their fashion don’ts. We’ve chatted to everyone, from bloggers, models, designers and more, and this week we’re with photographer and visual storyteller Mr Whisper.
Capturing the sometimes dark tones of London and other cityscapes Mr Whisper takes to the hidden corners of his surroundings that others tend to avoid. With striking shots of looming alleyways, the stragglers catching the last tube home, and the atmospheric grey clouds that cover the city skyscrapers, he takes the gloom and grime of everyday life and makes it into something striking and eye catching. We caught up with this artistic photographer to hear some of his views on style, social media and more.

Can you tell us a little bit about what you do and when you got into it?
For the last 2 years I’ve been working as a photographer creating content for an amazing range of global brands i.e. Audi, Disney, Ebay, Vodafone, Shell, Lacoste, Samsung, Absolut vodka, Adidas to name drop a few.
I decided to give up my 12+ year career in advertising as a digital Creative Director in 2014 to pursue this emerging opportunity. At the time I was gaining good traction and exposure on Instagram and the incoming projects were becoming more exciting than my day job!
These days by being able to tap into my previous experience in the digital/social world of advertising, and with my newfound experience as a Photographer/influencer, I find myself in the ideal position to offer consultancy as well as photography on upcoming campaigns to all my clients.
How’s 2015 been for you? Any major highlights?
An amazing year for me, my main goal was not to become pigeon holed as particular type of photographer, as I love to shoot everything, but in my style! Travel, Fashion and Cars were high up on my to do list, and I can happily say all three were well and truly ticked off the list!
What song have you got on repeat at the moment?
Major Lazer – “Light it up”
What fashion advice do you have for a man?
Having more than 10 pairs of shoes isn’t just for the ladies.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?
Not to worry about all the technical camera jargon and get into photography sooner.
1 tip to grow your Instagram account
It’s all about quality, not quantity. So don’t feel pressured to upload, unless the shot is 100% on point. I feel this is something way too many Instagrammers fall victim too.
What’s the one thing you never want to see a guy wearing?
The same stuff as me!
Any major plans for 2016?
I’ve recently been signed to an agent ‘Townsend London’ and am very excited about the prospects of taking my photography to the next level.
What is your one guilty pleasure?
My wife’s homemade coconut cake, it’s so good it’s a straight up sin.
