Can you tell us a little bit about what you do and when you got into it?

I am a Saskatchewan born and raised farm girl. I grew up with the world as my playground and a farm filled with horses, cows, peacocks, chickens, bunnies, cats, dogs and a donkey to complete the pack.

I have always had a passion for knowledge and fitness and was taught the importance of education from my grandma and amazing work ethic from my mom and dad.I went on to university where I met my now husband. I graduated with a business degree and moved on to a career in finance where I discovered the corporate world was not for me.

I took the plunge into the entrepreneurial atmosphere with my husband in 2010 when we opened our first Anytime Fitness Franchise location. We went on to open our 2nd in 2011. I began competing in bikini competitions that same year and obtained sponsorship with Magnum Nutraceuticals – a Canadian supplement company in 2012.

I have incorporated and built up a lifestyle apparel brand mhbworld.com to help promote a lifestyle of adventure in health and wellness and have just opened a 3rd Anytime Fitness franchise location in British Columbia where I currently reside.

I love travel and adventure and I love the platform that social media allows me to spread my lifestyle to inspire others around the world.

How’s your year been so far? Any major highlights?

My year so far has been pretty surreal. I recently relocated to British Columbia with my husband to build out a 3rd Anytime Fitness location. We officially opened our doors on December 22nd of last year so this first month in the New Year has been a busy growth month form the new club.

Along with the opening of our 3rd location, I have also been blessed to be one of the 13 athletes chosen to represent the Bodies of Work Volume published by Bodybuilding.com for the year. This is something I have worked towards and dreamt about being a part of. It was released this January and the moment of release was unreal.

I have just been blessed with my 2nd cover of Women’s Health and Fitness Australia and am working on a few more projects with them. They are so amazing to work with and remind me constantly of the freshness of fitness, health, knowledge and balance.

I am getting ready to fly out to Los Angeles for photoshoots and then in March I will be traveling to the Arnold Sports Classic with my sponsor Magnum Nutraceuticals who are my 2nd family and the weekend is always an amazing time meeting and educating fans and friends on our products.

Late March I will be attending the Strong Fitness camp for an epic girl’s weekend of fitness and empowerment, and then my husband and I will be taking a few weeks to drive down south with stops of adventure and hiking along the way.

So, I guess you could say I have jam packed my first half of 2016 with some pretty amazing events, opportunities and adventures. I feel blessed to live life my way each day.

What song have you got on repeat at the moment?

Depending on my mood or activity I am loving:
Jungle (feat. Jamie N Commons) by X Ambassadors
I Need Never Get Old by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
Never Be Like You (feat. Kai) by Flume

I love all genres of music and feel that they all have a place somewhere in my day.

What fashion advice do you have for a man?

Clean cuts, confidence and pops of color. I love when a man pays attention to the details.

The main pieces should be clean lines and a proper fit making him feel like a million dollars. Even if it’s a plain white tee and jeans. I feel where the outfit comes together is the add-ons and accessories. The attention to detail with the shoes, fun socks, a belt and an over coat. I love head pieces, hats, beanies and sunglasses. My ideal look would be a man put together from head to toe and layered for activity.

If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?

Believe in yourself. My biggest block was and always has been self-doubt. As I get older, I believe that I can do anything because, through experience and a proper plan of action, anything is possible.

1 tip to grow your Instagram account?

Live your life and share it. Promote what you are proud of, what you believe in, a part of. Share your adventure, but live a life that warrants something to follow. Be fun and approachable. Do not be a diva. Create an experience, work towards a dream, inspire along the way and learn as you go. Don’t promote perfection, promote what you contribute to the world. Pay attention to your photos and the message that they send and track what is trending. Be a part of the movement and most of all have fun with it!….so that is not 1 tip, but a bunch!

What’s the one thing you never want to see a guy wearing?

Dirty clothes. The same clothes 2 days in a row. Improper fits.

Any major plans for 2016?

A bunch! I am in the process of a few projects and working towards building my brand as an influential figure in the areas I am passionate about.

What is your one guilty pleasure?

Nut butters and sushi and if I’m really treating myself, I choose cupcakes!

Who’s the most stylish man on the planet for you right now?

David Beckham always has clean lines, proper fits and nails it with and over coat, scarf or hat. He is always put together.

Dolph Ziggler has come a long way and I feel is someone that looks better with age. The hair and suit jackets are working for him.
