We got the chance to chat to model and social media star Cherry Dana for her tips on fashion, men, fitness and style. Here’s what she had to say when we caught up with her.
In our Best Of The Web, we chat to a range of creatives from all over the world, asking them for their tips on fashion, style, music, and more. We’ve chatted to everyone, from bloggers, designers, actors and artists, and this week we’re with model and social media star Cherry Dana.
With her positive, enthusiastic and fun loving personality, Cherry has gained thousands of fans from all corners of the world. Having worked as a lingerie model for the last ten years, she’s built up a reputation as a motivated and fearless worker, and in her popular blog she writes about the experiences she’s had in her career. We caught up with her to hear what she’s been up to recently and to gain some tips on men’s fashion and style.
Can you tell us a little bit about what you do and when you got into it?
My background is in dance and fitness. I have worked in entertainment and hospitality for over 10years. I am predominately known for the social media app Snapchat which I used to promote venue appearances for topless waitressing. I have worked as a lingerie model for over ten years and as a topless waitress for four years now. I am a social ambassador, a part time model and, as I like to think of myself, a smile enthusiast.
How’s your year been so far? Any major highlights?
The start of 2016 for myself has been very positive with strong changes in all aspects of my life such as living, social, career, goals and more.
What song have you got on repeat at the moment?
My favourite song atm is by The Weeknd, Valerie.
What fashion advice do you have for a man?
To find a style that he feels comfortable, feels he looks good and can be himself in. When you feel good, you look good!
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?
To keep blocking out the negativity. There will always be people in life that will try to bring you down but I’d remind myself daily of how much I have achieved on my own already and how far I can continue to grow. Stay mentally healthy
A tip to grow your Instagram account?
I have had my main Instagram account now for over four years and I see at it as baby. As ridiculous as it sounds, but from myself spending so many hours a day online you get to understand your account and the app a whole lot better. Be yourself on your accounts! I have learnt it is best to have quality support over quantity.
What’s the one thing you never want to see a guy wearing?
Haha I guess this question comes down to the person. I can say a man’s choice to flaunt his manhood in public I do not find attractive. A naked man is only attractive for myself in the bedroom on a relationship status.
Any major plans for 2017?
In 2016 I am hoping to travel again. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about new cultures.
What is your one guilty pleasure?
I love chocolate. Cadbury’s is my favourite.
Who’s the most stylish man on the planet for you right now?
I have three choices: @magic_fox for his smooth street style, @spizoiky because I love beards and @jayalvarrez for his over all guy next door, beach, boyfriend look.
