Expect to be taken on a journey to sunny Mexico, as London’s newest pop-up bar summer destination, The Paloma Parlour launches in central Covent Garden. The Paloma Parlour will pop up at the modern Mexican restaurant, Cantina Laredo until September 2018. Offering guests a true taste of Mexico, by featuring a Paloma infusion menu filled with fruity cocktails and exotic guacamole’s.
Opening on St Martin’s lane, Cantina Laredo will transform their Guacamole and Tequila Bar into an enchanting summer escape, adorned with cascading tropical flora and fauna, where guests can while away the afternoon sipping on Mexico’s most popular cocktail, The Paloma.
The signature cocktail menu, featuring five variations of Mexico’s popular beverages, perfect for those tequila lovers. Traditionally served on the rocks using tequila, lime and grapefruit soda, The Paloma Parlour will add an inventive twist on the traditional cocktail. Guests can sip their way through the menu including Pedro to my Paloma, a herbal mix of Ambar Blanco Tequila, Blood Orange Grapefruit, Agave Nectar and Rosemary; Paloma’s Raspberry Beret using Ambar Blanco Tequila, fresh Grapefruit, Cucumber and Raspberries; Paloma and The Poms infused with Pomegranate, Vanilla and Mint and Have a Little Frozen Faith, a frozen Paloma cocktail made with AquaRiva Reposado, Grapefruit, Passionfruit and Agave Nectar.
A one-off Pomelo Paloma Guacamole will be added to Cantina Laredo’s impressive Great Eight Guacamole menu. Using a traditional avocado base this perfect paired guacamole will be topped with Pink and White Grapefruit, Sweet Onions, Serrano Chiles, Cucumber, Thyme and popping Candy bites set to add a little fizz into the mix, made right in front of you at the table!
As well as the delicious cocktails and guacamole, the dishes which are perfect for sharing offer something completely new and sophisticated to the traditional Mexican cuisine. Tacos, enchiladas, flautas, empanadas and quesadillas all feature on the authentic menu. Other options include guajillo-glazed baby back ribs with spring onions and fried leeks, rib-eye steak with yellow habanero butter, lamb cutlets with amarillo curry mole and chicken skewers with an agave chilli glaze. Emphasis is on the bold and intense flavours with simple presentation using high-quality ingredients.
