We first saw images of the Puma Thunder Spectra way back at the start of the year, and now, the highly anticipated chunky runner finally has a release date – it’s launching tomorrow. Read on for all you need to know regarding the drop, right here at The Idle Man.
With the dad sneaker trend still in full swing, Puma has picked exactly the right time to finally release the eagerly awaited Thunder Spectra. The brand has certainly built up a hype surrounding the silhouette, with celebrities and influencers alike having rocked the pair for months, posting on foot shots all over Instagram. It was finally announced earlier this week that the shoe will be releasing in very limited quantities tomorrow, 28th April.
The sneaker itself features vibrant colours placed across a mainly black and white base colourway. It’s a completely new silhouette for Puma, and isn’t at all similar to usual releases from the brand. It’s great to see Puma competing with the big dogs and creating a lot of hype over a brand new silhouette. The Thunder Spectra is said to be heavily inspired by Puma’s previous collaborations with the late Alexander McQueen, and we can certainly see the influence shining through here.
If you’re as keen as we are on the silhouette, make sure you have a plan of action when it comes to the drop tomorrow. There’s been talk of the sneaker being extremely limited, and we already know it’s only going to be available at a very small amount of retailers, as well as directly from Puma.
