Late last year, Virgil Abloh dropped his collaborative “THE TEN” package, featuring footwear options from Nike and Converse. However, the only Converse silhouette in the collection is still yet to drop. Today, Converse have officially announced details regarding the Chuck 70 in question.
Fresh off the back of launching two brand new Vapormax colourways in collaboration with Nike, Virgil Abloh is back once again. It’s fair to say he’s absolutely killing the game at the moment, and we’ve just received the news that the elusive Off-White x Converse Chuck Taylor 70 will be launching soon. The pair was previewed alongside the original “THE TEN” collection, however never made it to the original release. Details regarding the model are now live over at Converse’s official website, and of course we’ve got the latest right here.
The pair are decked out in traditional Virgil Abloh styling, showcasing a deconstructed look, which is emphasised more than ever by the use of translucent rubber as part of the upper. The signature Off-White red tag can be found attached to the laces of the shoe, which has become a status symbol in itself. Alongside this, “VULCANIZED” is printed across the sidewall of each sneaker, and Converse branding can be found on the medial side of the shoes.
If you’re as excited as we are for this high profile release, unfortunately you’re going to have to sit tight just a little bit longer yet. There’s been no official release date unveiled, however you can sign up to be notified regarding the release via Converse’s official website. What we do know however, is that this pair are guaranteed to be extremely limited, much like any Off-White release. If you’re set on getting your hands on a pair, make sure you sign up as soon as possible, and have a plan ready for drop day. We wish you the best of luck.
