Nike are killing it lately with the Air Jordan’s, and the latest model rumoured to release is a very familiar yet different AJ1. It’s reminiscent of the “Bred” and “Banned” colourways, however it has an interesting twist. We’ve got the latest right here at The Idle Man.
I’m sure if you’re into your sneakers you’ll be more than familiar with the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” and the “Banned”. They’re both iconic colourways of an even more iconic silhouette, and now Nike have put a very interesting spin on a brand new AJ1. Titled the “Homage to Home”, it features characteristics from both of the aforementioned colourways, with the shoe split down the middle, Bred on one side and Banned on the other. It’s unlike any AJ1 we’ve seen before, and we’re super excited to see how the final product turns out.
The black/white/red colourway makes for a striking look, and the split doesn’t look out of place at all. Like any Air Jordan 1, you can expect high quality leather used for the upper and a heavy white midsole. Nike branding can be seen throughout, as well as the iconic Jordan Brand logo on the ankle support of the sneaker. Jordan Brand really isn’t holding back so far in 2018, and we can’t wait to see what else it brings to the table in the coming months.
There’s been no confirmation that these are 100% releasing by Nike yet, however by the look of these images it’s extremely likely. Once we receive confirmation we’ll be sure to update you with a release date and where to grab a pair from. Here at The Idle Man, we’re huge fans of this rumoured colourway, and will be trying to pick a pair up ourselves.
