Dr. Martens and Engineered Garments Launch New Collaborative Capsule

EG DMS feature

British heritage footwear brand Dr. Martens has unveiled its latest collaboration with none other than Engineered Garments. Six colourways of the iconic 1461 shoe make up the capsule, however they aren’t your standard model. We’ve got the latest right here at The Idle Man.

The 1461 shoe is one of Dr. Martens most loved models, and we’re really not surprised considering it’s been in production and remained relatively unchanged since 1961. Dr. Martens has been killing it as of late with its collaborative offerings, and this capsule really is no exception. Engineered Garments has been in business since 1999, and focus on the details often missed by the untrained eye. It takes inspiration from sportswear, workwear and military apparel. Take a first look at the collaboration below – it’s certainly a winner in our eyes.

The shoe itself features premium quality leather throughout, and that thick sole that we all know and love. Utilitarian velcro straps replace the laces you’d see in a standard 1461 shoe, making putting on and taking off the shoe an effortless task. Alongside this, Dr. Martens and AirWair branding can be seen throughout the pair, which really finishes off the look.

If you’re as keen as we are on this militant looking collaboration, the good news is that all six colourways will be available to purchase via Dr. Martens directly and at select retailers from 29th April. This collaboration is indeed being produced in a limited run, so if you want to make sure you definitely get your hands on a pair, we’d suggest moving sooner rather than later.
