Royal Salute Whisky

This is the second in Royal Salute’s annual Polo Collection and follows last year’s 21 Year Old Polo Edition. Like its predecessor, the Beach Polo Edition is endorsed by Royal Salute Polo Ambassador, former England Polo Team Captain and long-time Scotch whisky aficionado, Malcolm Borwick. Malcolm’s signature and iconic red helmet both feature on the packaging.

Royal Salute Master Blender, Sandy Hyslop, added: Creating a whisky that embodied the values of the partnership and the sport was a fantastic experience. The idea is that with each sip, we would take the person on an exotic journey though salty sea winds, warm sands and subtly smoky beach bonfires, while keeping the Royal Salute House style firmly at the heart.” In short this is an amazing whiskey and whether you decide to give it as gift or drink it all yourself you won’t be disappointed. Ramsbury Vodka

If St. George had a vodka, this would be it. Ramsbury Vodka is quintessentially English; every part of producing the vodka occurs on their Wiltshire estate making it one of UK’s only single estate English Vodkas.

Being distilled, blended and bottled in the historic Wiltshire countryside, the vodka is packed with its signature flavour. With every element harvested from the estate, each bottle has an incredible result. We are left with a distinguished aesthetic that is silky smooth and subtle, with a distinctive aroma of vanilla and toasted cereal, not to mention the ancient aquifer used to locally source the wheat and water into an enigmatic and refined edition. We would recommend adding a hint of ice for a refreshing and clean mouthful. This is definitely worth the shot.

Try this vodka by getting your own bottle from the 31 Dover website.

Citadelle Reserve Gin , 70cl

This one is for the serious Gin aficionado in your life. Barrel-aged to create unique depth and flavour, a rare process for a gin, but nonetheless one that is well-deserved for the complex list of herbs, spices, and botanical’s that goes into making it.
The solera ageing process, similar to that of sherry, sees the gin rest in five different types of wood for five months, including cherry, acacia, mulberry, chestnut, and French oak. After five months, the Citadelle Reserve Gin is blended together and refined in a huge barrel of its own, a step that earns Citadelle the distinction of being the only distillers to use such an avant-garde technique. This long, elaborate ageing process gives the gin a whole new flavour profile, intensifying the citrus notes and bringing about a noticeably soft mouthfeel. Try savouring this one over ice rather than drowning it in tonic. Buy it here

PIERRE FERRAND 10 Générations

A Grande Champagne Cognac from Pierre Ferrand, honouring the ten generations of Ferrand family members behind the great Cognac house. This expression has been crafted exclusively using eaux-de-vie made of Ugni-Blanc grapes, and 20% of the spirit is matured in casks that previously held deliciously sweet Sauternes wine. This classic crystal-clear liqueur – based on a blend of sweet and bitter orange peels is a pure classic. A true sipping treat and your must-have spirit for the irresistible Cointreau Fizz cocktail, or for other classics including the Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Sidecar and White Lady. Distilled and crafted in Angers, France using century-old methods to capture the most intense aromas from sweet and bitter orange peels. Fun fact: The original margarita was created in Acapulco in 1948 by Margaret Sames, known for hosting notoriously lavish parties with extravagant twists. She created a new cocktail for one of her parties by mixing two of her favourite spirits: tequila and Cointreau, a liqueur crafted using sweet and bitter orange peel essences. An immediate success, the drink came to be known as a “Margarita” and has gone on to become a staple.

This Christmas, add a touch of elegance and style to any drinks cabinet with a new, Limited Edition Bottle of the iconic orange liqueur brand Cointreau.  Created in collaboration with the prestigious Design Laboratory at Central Saint Martins College, the bottle has been reimagined by taking inspiration from the luxuriant Jardin des Hespérides; a garden filled with golden apples, later discovered to be oranges – a traditional Christmas gift and the heart of Cointreau. “We’ve taken this exciting blend of ingredients inside the spirit and celebrated them, adorning the exterior of the iconic bottle with a perfectly balanced, timeless design” shared Benio Urbanowicz, Creative Manager of The Design Laboratory. A nod to the mythological ‘golden apple’, the bottle is topped with an ornate, perfume-inspired square cap and encased in an orange box with a fabric interior.

The Limited Edition is limited to 1000 units worldwide, with only 50 to be retailed exclusively at Harvey Nichols

It embraces precious wine distillates, aged patiently in French Limousin oak casks, and exquisite Muscat wines exclusively from the Aegean island of Samos, where grapes grow on garden-sized, terrace vineyards and are picked only by hand. A secret bouquet of May roses and Mediterranean herbs tops off this blend, created by Metaxa Master Costas Raptis. METAXA 12 Stars is extraordinarily complex in aromas and rewarding on the palate, with elegant notes of toffee, chocolate and orange peel. Enjoy it neat, or just with a cube of ice.

The most precious METAXA blends have always been selected by the Masters and kept in the cellars of the House in oak casks, that were brought in from the first distillery in Piraeus. These few, treasured casks, known as “The Family of Original Casks”, are part of the House’s legacy. To honour the House’s legacy in 2018, the Metaxa Master is releasing special decanters of his most precious elixir – AEN Cask No 2 –Despina. Inside are rare blends that Nature has offered, Man has selected and Time has perfected, celebrating the essence of the heart of Metaxa in its purest form. British Cassis – White Heron

With 140 years of passion in every bottle, White Heron is back with its gloriously dark and rich nature. The White Heron story starts with a tiny current that grows in the fields of a Herefordshire farm. The succulent fruit is harvested under the summer sun and crafted into the very finest cassis. White Heron uses a technique similar to winemaking to perfectly capture the intensity of freshly picked British blackcurrants. Once it’s naturally fermented with champagne yeast, they blend it with a little vodka to fortify and bring out the rich and fruit flavour. This blackcurrant liquor is the perfect aperitif served straight or over ice. It also beautifully complements fizzing champagne and/or prosecco, making it a perfect Christmas drink and liquor for this festive season.
