The Official Camden Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest has become a celebration far beyond the marriage of a Prince to a Princess in Munich, Germany back in 1810.  This traditional 18-day folk festival has been compressed into many one-day wild events across the world.  The official Camden Oktoberfest is joining this folk celebration for the third year running.

To complete the trifecta, Camden Oktoberfest is returning bigger and better.  The famous day and evening festival has now moved to Camden’s Electric Ballroom making this Oktoberfest Camden’s largest with 3,000 tickets available across two dates, Saturday the 13th & Saturday the 20th of October.

This iconic venue will be transformed into a traditional Bavarian beer hall with bunting fit for a decadent bohemian schloss.  Long wooden tables will serve as a runway for the Dirndl and Lederhosen dressed waitresses.  They will be parading back and forth ensuring the liquid gold is always running, steins are full and wursts are steaming.

It is impossible to have the whole of London in Germany.  But is possible to fly all the best German beer to London. Spaten, Löwenbräu and Becks will be served to all in the renowned glass stein.  To fizzle out the froth, Herman ze German will provide its legendary sausage, bringing authentic German wurst to punters tables throughout the event.

Alongside giant beers and endless delicious sausages, attendees to Camden’s Official Oktoberfest can expect music from The Old Dirty Brasstards.  The tweed-clad 10-piece brass and drum collective comprise of some of London’s leading freelance musicians, playing an eclectic fusion of pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, funk and soul covers that never fail to get any dance floor moving. Yet, to remind us we are in London – Club De Fromage DJs will bring all the best in classic pop from the last 6 decades.

So get on eBay, Amazon or Gumtree and find the perfect Dirndl or Lederhosen.  Ditch two-morning coffees to accumulate your £8 ticket and go to the official Camden Oktoberfest.
