It’s a world heritage city, the home of Mozart and known for it’s Baroque architecture. Salzburg is not exactly the most modern of Western European cities, but if you love the nostalgic feeling of 18th century Europe, then it’s the place for you. Surrounded by the Alps, and located on the Austrin/German border, Salzburg, may not be the biggest or known city in the world, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in culture.
Klangkarussell, on the other hand, are house producers who are known and have great authority in the house scene. With over 200,000 followers on soundcloud, they are heavyweights when it comes to producing music that people like.

Where’s your preferred place to chill and clear your head?
The Untersberg is a very nice place to chill; it’s a magic mountain. The Dalai Lama says it’s “the heart chakra of Europe”. We have lots of nature in Salzburg where you can chill, like the lakes Fuschlsee and Wolfgangsee. I also love the area around Sportgastein, it’s one hour away from the city, very beautiful and part of the national park Hohe Tauern.
Where serves the best breakfast?
Where’s your favourite place to have a quiet drink?
Hotel Untersberg, it’s at the foot of the mountain and a friend of mine owns it. So this is where I usually go 😉
Where’s your favourite place to have a messier night?
It was a club called The Cave Club. Unfortunately it’s been closed for a while now but it was very famous for electronic music. It was built into a mountain called Mönchsberg (monks mountain). Now Soda Club or Republic are the best options music wise.
How would you describe your city’s style?
It’s very traditional, I wouldn’t say Salzburg has a great taste in fashion… Sure, you can find some well dressed people everywhere. But its not exactly the capital of fashion.
Where are your favourite places to shop?
Salzburg is very small. There are some shops in the Linzergasse and there is a Shoppingmall called Europark. I would recommend going some other town for shopping though.
What song sums up your city?
Krs One- The Sound of da Police. Salzburg is free from crime so the police gets bored and annoys us innocent young people all the time 🙂
