How to Wear Accessories for Autumn / Winter 15

Accessories for autumn/ winter are a must form hats to gloves and bags, you ned these items in your wardrobe arsenal to get you through the season.

Check out the rest of the How To Wear It guides here.

This winter it’s time to up your accessories game by adding a few new key pieces to your wardrobe. Go for the staples, a hat, bag, a watch, you know the drill – these will all slot into your wardrobe with ease. By buying them in neutral tones, you can easily pair them with pretty much any outfit you want. Bin the old wooly football hat and bag that are starting to look a bit worse for wear and upgrade to some brand spanking new pieces just in time for winter.

A hat is definitely a go-to this season whether you’re channeling Dappy from N-Dubz or going for a more classic look, you’re going to want to keep your ears warm and look stylish whilst doing it! Your hat should be an extenuation of your look so you’ll want to keep it all in the same colour pallet (you don’t wanna look like Noddy now do you).

This grey wooly number from Herschel is spot on for this season, team it with a plain white tee and some black jeans and trainers for a casual feel and throw over a black parka for that extra bit of warmth. Whether you’re off to the football or going down the pub, your ears will appreciate not being red raw and freezing cold.

Having a bag this winter is a key element to your wardrobe – but I suggest getting a backpack, probably one of the most practical bags you could own as it’s easily slung over your shoulder. Perfect for running about the city and the morning commute, you can easily style out this winter essential.

This bag from Comutor is spot on, its neutral colour and quilted material make it the perfect accompaniment to your winter look. Safe padding and secure fastenings give you the piece of mind you need when you are running about the city, and it looks pretty cool, so you can’t go wrong.

Team it with a white or grey cable knit jumper, black wide legged trousers and a pair of slip-on plimsolls for a comfortable look that can take you from the tube to the office with comfort and ease.

Wearing a watch everyday is a classic staple for any man, but this winter upgrade your velcro strap watch that’s been falling apart for some time and upgrade to something a little more classic and sturdy. A watch looks its best when it’s teamed with a more formal look, upgrading your style and confidence, you’ll be the next James Bond with a great watch.

A silver watch will be one of the most versatile accessories in your wardrobe arsenal as it can literally go with anything. If you are investing in a watch this season make sure you invest in the right one, don’t go too bold with colour or design as you’ll be limited on what you can wear it with, keep it simple and keep it classic.

Try wearing a white button down shirt with some black trousers, if you feel you need a blazer then go for it or try an overcoat for something a little different than the traditional blazer. Throw on a pair of black brogues to heighten your look even more and you’ll be good to go!
