How’s your year been so far? Any major highlights?
My year has been excellent; Instagram has become such a huge part of what I do. I’ve seen exponential growth since around June of 2015. I’ve gotten to work with brands that I’ve always loved, like Cole Haan, Johnston and Murphy and Original Penguin, so that has definitely been a major highlight for me.
What song have you got on repeat at the moment?
I’ve been listening to a lot of Drake lately. Being from Toronto all we hear is Drake this, Drake that but I finally picked up “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” and I’ve got “Energy” on repeat at the gym.
What’s the most important thing about a guy’s style to you?
Hands down the most important thing is fit. If your clothes don’t fit then you cannot look dapper.
What fashion advice do you have for a man?
My advice would be to keep it simple, start with staples like button down shirts and cotton ties and build from there. You can’t be afraid to try different looks as well, not everything is going to work but you’ll never know unless you try.
1 tip to grow your Instagram account.
My one tip would be consistency, make sure you post often and also make sure that your photos are of a high quality. Everyone will tell you it’s all about the lighting.
What’s the one thing you never want to see a guy wearing?
Matching tie and pocket square. There is nothing that drives me more nuts, they should complement each other not match.
Worst dating experience you’ve had?
It’s been too long, I can’t even remember.
Any major plans for the rest of 2015?
Only two weeks till 2016 so not much for me, looking forward to planned trip to NYC in February.
Who’s the most stylish man on the planet for you right now?
I’ve gotta say EJ Samson, the current Digital Director for Heart Media. EJ was one of the first dudes I followed on Instagram and is definitely an inspiration in how I dress myself every day.
