About – An outdoor clothing company, famous for their Woolrich Arctic Jacket which was introduced in 1972 to protect the thousands of Alaskan Pipeline workers, who were living for months on end in Northern Alaska.
History – Opening the mother brand in 1830, it was rebranded as John Rich & Sons in 1852. Making a name for themselves early on they supported Admiral Byrd’s Antarctic expedition in 1939. Building the brand up they call themselves “The Original Outdoor Clothing Company”. Today, Woolrich has extended their brands range of goods covering clothing, footwear, home furnishing and other areas.
Clothing – Known for being the first and best line of defence against the -20F conditions, the functional design of their clothing hasn’t changed much over the years. Why would they? They have already discovered the perfect balance between style and practicality.
