Unless you've been confined to a sealed cave for the last month or so, you'll be acutely aware that festival season is underway both here and abroad. In addition, Ibiza party season is in full swing with hoards of revellers and DJs flocking to the Island for another summer of sun, sea and sound.
Now as much as we're huge fans of raving in fields and dancing at beachside clubs as the sun sets, there's something pretty special about taking those experiences to sea, which is where the mighty boat party steps in.
Over the past few years, boat parties have become one of - if not - the main attractions at a number of foreign festivals. Perhaps it's due to their often limited capacity - and the feeling of exclusivity that goes with them - or maybe it's the fact that they tend to offer curated line-ups and special guests playing sets you won't hear at the festival or in the clubs.
Whatever it is, boat parties get better and better every year and if you're fortunate enough to bag yourself tickets to one this summer then you need to start thinking about what to wear. To help you with that task we've pulled together two looks that will cover you for almost everything from Soundwave to Sankeys.
With what seems like a new Croatian festival cropping up every five minutes, it can be tricky trying to distinguish your Soundwaves from your Stop Making Senses. But whichever one you go for you can guarantee the boat parties will be a highlight. Emulate the chilled vibe of the open sea with a mix of neutrals and blue hues to help you blend in seamlessly with your surroundings.
If the Adriatic doesn't quite float your boat (Sorry, stick with us) then perhaps you'll be heading to the Med this summer instead. If so, then a cool blue focussed 'fit will do the trick once again to ensure you're always looking the part even when the open bar starts to take it's toll.
