Long established as one of the lead players in the sound system game, Bowers and Wilkins have been renowned for their engineering talents and innovation in technology since the 1960s. The Idle Man is pleased to introduce the latest collection from Bowers & Wilkins.
Bowers & Wilkins History
Founded in 1965, John Bowers and Peter Hayward began B&W as a manufacturing company, funnelling all their profits into the technical development of sound systems. With extensive knowledge of classical music, Bowers & Wilkins were able to produce loud speakers to the highest quality, branching into more affordable domestic models.
Experimenting with innovative design, Bowers & Wilkins was one of the first to feature bulletproof Kevlar in the modelling of their speakers. And the quality of their products has not gone unnoticed in industry - in 1988, the iconic Abbey Road Studios even adopted one of their high spec systems.
Bowers & Wilkins Earphones
The C5 Series 2 earphones create high definition, natural acoustics, while its ergonomically developed loop ensures that the earphone won’t be falling out your ear. The earphone also features a micro-porous filter which improves the clarity, depth and range of your tunes. Steel weights in the structure even angle the speaker towards your ear, so you’ll still get clean, consistent sound on your travels.
Bowers & Wilkins Headphones
Bowers & Wilkins headphones are a bit of a leap forward in sound technology, incorporating the same system used in their revered loudspeakers. The P3 Series 2 headphones are foldable and super lightweight - perfect for chucking in your bag for your morning commute.
The P5 and P7 headphone series are wireless, which is even better for listening to music on the go and eliminates that stress of tangled wires. Their contemporary design features luxurious leather, which reduces external noise without effecting the sound, so you can listen to your tunes without any unwanted interruptions.
Bowers & Wilkins Speakers
Bowers & Wilkins have also perfected their range of wireless speakers, including the T7 and Zeppelin models. For relatively small systems, their sound definitely packs a punch. The T7 features twin bass radiators for audio with serious depth. Advanced audio convertors also means that the wireless sound is perfect, even at high volumes.
And plus, with 18 hours play from a single charge, there’s no fear of losing your tunes when you’re out and about. The Zeppelin model also works seamlessly with your favourite music apps like Apple Music and Spotify, so connecting your music has never been easier.
