Wondering how to wear grey? It may not be the most thrilling of colours, but this versatile shade can end up being your best friend.

So we're going to talk about the versatility, timeless nature, and multiple shades of the trusty colour grey. Yes. Grey. Alright, so it's not exactly the most exciting of colours, but it is super easy to wear, plus grey wardrobe staples go with more or less everything.
Warning. Whilst grey is a classic, easy-to-wear, and *enter positive adjective here* colour, rocking a head-to-toe grey outfit isn't a good look. The only time you can get away with double grey is if you're wearing a suit or tracksuit. In the case of a suit, you'll be sporting a different colour shirt and shoes to break up the main two grey components, which makes it acceptable. However, a grey sweatshirt, grey jeans and grey trainers outfit is not. Avoid at all costs.
Investing in a grey jacket or coat will save you a lot of headaches when trying to get ready in the morning, mainly because it'll go with everything. Wear it with whatever coloured jeans you want, as bright colours will go surprisingly well with grey, and layer up with a neutral coloured jumper.
Winter requires jumpers, and the good thing about grey ones is that you can layer them so much more easily than less versatile coloured ones. Grey sweatshirts also work great with black jeans; blue jeans; and even khaki or sand chinos, so pair it up however you want.
So you've seen some great outer wear, but it's good to have a few grey tops and shirts to layer with in winter and wear alone in summer. A simple grey T-shirt is perfect for layering underneath pretty much any other colour shirt you could think of so you don't have to think too hard when you're getting ready in the morning.
Unless you plan to wear shorts all year round (we wouldn't recommend it), you're gonna need a pair of trousers, and whether you're a fan of skinnies, joggers or straight leg jeans, you're gonna want a pair in grey.
The versatility of clothes applies to accessories as well, and a grey backpack or a silver watch will go well with majority of your outfits - smart or casual.
