Belts

There's so much more to a belt than its practical uses. This unassuming accessory can make or break an outfit. Crafted in a variety of fabrics and designs, belts can be used to dress up, dress down or add interest to an outfit. A classic leather belt is great for adding a polished finishing touch to suits and workwear or if you are opting for a more casual look, a fabric belt is ideal. At The Idle Man, we're getting on board with the woven variety, choose from multicoloured weaves or neutral khaki and cream – great for everyday.

Hats

The champion of hats, Carhartt has got us covered this season. From knitted hats to corduroy caps, experimentation with both fabric type and colour has resulted in an extensive range, with styles to suit everyone. Generally a casual piece, Carhartt's rib-knit beanies are great if you're looking for something warm and cosy. Alternatively, if you're wanting something to go out and about in, to run errands or casually wear on your way to the pub, then their corduroy caps in autumnal shades are for you.

Scarf

Every man should own a scarf. Aside from keeping you warm, a scarf is one of those pieces that everyone can wear with ease. Nonchalantly slung over the neck on the outside of your jacket, a scarf can add instant sophistication to your look. Opt for a bold check or print, as seen in Barbour's tartan collection and you've got yourself a conversation starter. Easy, colour-block styles work with any outfit, perfect for a wintry commute to the office...or the bar afterwards.

Gloves

Everyone's best friend during the bleak mid-winter, a quality pair of gloves is a necessity to keep you from getting frostbite. The all-weather glove has to be leather to keep your hands, warm dry and comfortable no matter if it's wet or dry out. These deerskin gloves from Hestra are this seasons necessity, made from white-tailed deer from North America gives a supple and isolating leather with a beautiful grain texture, whilst the elastic helps the glove to stay in place and protects against cold air.

Sunglasses

Not just for summer, in fact, due to our terrible summertime, we barely need them! However, the low morning sun means that we need our sunglasses more during the winter. So switching from summer to winter glasses, means larger frames to hide our tired eyes. Leaving the aviators in behind, AW19 is about block frames and patterns, shop our very own collection to find a style that'll suit you best.

Books

Admittedly, this is not something you can wear, but it is an accessory for the home that looks great on a coffee table.
