With award season well and truly in full swing it was about time the that musicians of the world took centre stage and showcased some of their best looks. This time it was the Grammy Awards that were on display and here at Idle HQ were waiting to see who won best album, sadly, it wasn't Adele.
We saw a lot of home-grown talent ramp it up in the style stake this year, with the usuals such as Mark Ronson leading the pack. However, we saw some rising stars amongst the crown that caught our eye here at Idle HQ, and, ones that we think you may be interested in as well.
1. Mark Ronson
The man behind one of our most loved songs, Valerie, Mark Ronson has always been the leader of the pack when it came to his unique and stylish looks. Known for his love of tailoring with that slight nod to the 50's and 60's he makes his looks his own.
Teaming a navy pinstripe blazer with a low cut tee and black trousers he makes a simple look extremely stylish without even trying. Throwing on a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers for the ultimate in 'don't care' he tops the list for the most stylish man at the Grammys.
2. Sam Smith
The talented Spectre singer showcased his incredible new physique and style at the Grammy Awards this year. Rocking a buzz cut with some sharp tailoring, Sam Smith certainly caught our eye at this years Grammys.
Not everyone can easily pull off a three piece suit but Sam Smith certainly can. This tailored navy number with patterned tie and contrasting pocket square makes for a classic and timeless look with all the detail necessary for a spot on look.
3. Tame Impala
This is a band that some of you may not have heard of before now, but, their style spoke volumes last night. This rock band from Down Under certainly impressed us here at Idle HQ with their rocker/indie styling that epitomises their music genre.
Teaming unbuttoned printed shirts with cracking tailoring and skinny trousers they create a dishevelled yet stylish look. Giving it a classic twist they team their looks with black penny loafers and Chelsea boots with a nod to classic tailoring and style.
4. James Bay
Another home-grown talent that has made his way within the style and music industry is James Bay. The 'Hold Back The River' singer is a favourite of British fashion powerhouse Burberry as his indie/rocker style shines through classic tailoring and style.
Adding something a little different to his look by choosing to wear a velvet tuxedo jacket instead of the usual style ramps him up in the style stakes. Matching the texture of his jacket with his suede Chelsea boots ties the whole look together with style. Obviously it wouldn't be James Bay without the classic black fedora now would it?
5. Sam Hunt
Now, for something a little bit different then why not give Sam Hunt's pink suit a whirl around the park? Taking a suit to new levels Hunt carries this pink number with the utmost masculinity and style possible. Probably not al look that many of us here at Idle HQ will be rocking anytime soon, but, we can still appreciate it nonetheless! So go on lads, try wearing a bit of pink every now and then.
Why Not Try It Out For Yourself
Are you heading off to an award ceremony or show anytime soon? Then why not try dolling yourself up a little bit and wearing a classic black suit, this one from yours truly, The Idle Man, is spot on. Teamed with a classic white button down shirt and black tie for a cracking formal look with hints of modernity and all of the style. Throw on a pair of these Dr Marten's shoes for a nod to classic styling. Their patent exterior and sleek silhouette make for a cracking pair of kicks no mater what the occasion.
