Home Baking At Its Best @ The Pudding Pantry

Known for their luscious desserts and tantalising brunches, The Pudding Pantry have firmly set their name in stone in Nottingham with two stores and their heavenly home-baked recipes.

Bringing together a menu full of breakfast and dessert favourites from their small passionate team whose desire it is to provide the kind of food and coffee that will keep you coming back. First setting up shop in Nottingham's city centre they have recently expanded and placed their second cafe in Sherwood amongst the buzzing high street.

Typical for Britain the weather outside was dull filled with grey skies and rain, however, inside The Pudding Pantry we were feeling the European summer spirit with the light and bright decor, seating and the stomach rumbling smells of sweet pancakes. Our Tuesday afternoon was about to become a feast of flavours filled with slightly too many pancakes.

We arrived at a peak hour for Brunch after skipping breakfast to make sure we could enjoy every last mouthful that was about to be placed in front of us. We took a few minutes to look at the menu and decided to try their Vegan Pantry Brunch, Bakewell Pankcakes, Bacon & Eggs and finally their Baked Triple Chocolate Cookie Dough. Each plate came out looking exquisite and left you wondering why you didn't choose to have what your friend is having, even though what you have yourself looks just as good!

By far the most astonishing out of our selected meals was their Bakewell Pankcakes. Brand new to their menu and a show stopper for sure, the thick American-style pancakes came piled on top of each other and was dressed with a generous slice of a Bakewell tart on top, smothered in chantilly cream, toasted almonds and raspberry sauce. The pancakes were undeniably delicious and proved to be a mountain I could not climb alone; they're definitely something I'd recommend to share on your next visit.

With each of us thoroughly enjoying our meals, we were left to gently fall into a food coma. Having eaten too much we couldn't attempt their legendary drinks menu which is made up of milkshakes, gourmet hot chocolates and smoothies. It is worth noting that they also have created 'adult' milkshakes and hot chocolates with the added touch of sweet alcohol.

You can find The Pudding Pantry in Nottingham City Centre or in Sherwood for your next indulgent and scrumptious treat. Check out their website or follow them on Instagram to keep up with their menus and events.
