Who to See
Goldie & Heritage Orchestra
His influence on British popular culture is massive. Goldie's not just a DJ, he's an actor, producer, graffiti artist and all round Drum & Bass God. We all know that Goldie can do pretty much anything he sets his mind to and his work with Heritage Orchestra is proof of this.
He'll be performing his breakthrough album 'Timeless' with the Heritage Orchestra and there's no doubt that he'll blow the roof off! To get an idea of what to expect take a look at this clip and feel the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
Ronnie Scotts Presents: Roy Ayers
He said it best himself, he plays music 'that makes you wanna shake your butt!' Roy was ahead of his time decades ago so it only makes sense to see him perform in the year 2016. A man constantly pushing the envelope do not miss Roy Ayers at Wilderness this year. Alongside Roy, Ronnie Scotts will be showcasing a range of Funk and Jazz over the course of the weekend.
Something a little different, this is a Wilderness special that people love year in year out. For anyone out there who's always been desperate to express their inner Mos Def... this is your chance.
Sadler's Wells presents Ceyda Tanc Dance: AYIN
A diversion from the music on offer, take in some contemporary dance influenced by a Turkish folk tradition. Running for just 20 minutes, it's is an opportunity for those not familiar with dance to broaden their artistic horizons, which is what Wilderness is all about.
The story of how this folktronic band formed is mind blowing. Singer Laure found her late grandfather's diary and an incomplete opera within it. She made the decision to honour her Grandfather and finish his opera. The journey to finish his work lead to the band forming and creating an eclectic mix of synths, folk and booming bass. If you get the chance to see Crystal Fighters, don't miss out!
