Kelis and Le Bun are working together throughout July in a pop-up restaurant in central London, it comes to a close on the weekend of July 29th - 31st at Standon Calling. The festival's line up is already impressive and the food on offer takes it to another level. Let's take a look at what food you can expect at this year's Standon Calling.
Kelis and Le Bun
We're going to avoid jokes about Kelis' buns bringing the boys to the yard, it's beneath us! Instead, we're going to look at what treats Kelis will be offering up. In a collaboration with Le bun, the food will be a mix of French-American and Asian influenced dishes that fall into either 'Street' or 'Savage' categories. We're not entirely what Savage food is, but we're pretty excited to find out.
“We both love truffles and classic French food - but we’re also quite unorthodox cooks. Kelis is amazing – everything she’s suggested has worked so well. Really, we’re all just cooking food we love.”
Andy Taylor - Le Bun Co-Founder
You might have seen Le Bun at other Festivals this summer but for those not familiar with them, their mission is to try and change perceptions around French food with fresh takes on classic dishes. Take a look at this clip to get an idea of what to expect from the weekend.
If you haven't already got a ticket to the Festival you can buy them here and then it's £20 to book onto the Welcome feast, or completely free for children 12 and under. If you're into something else there are tons of other street food traders available over the course of the weekend. Waffles, Mac n Cheese and Italian food are just some of the options you have at your disposal, it's enough to bring out the foody in anyone!
If this has got your mouth watering, check out the Standon Calling website for all the info.
