Another year, another Bonfire Night. This year, it's not going to be another dull year filled with underwhelming events - it's going to go off with a bang. From the booming of fireworks to the punch of a fire whisky, we've got you covered with our Bonfire Night Top Picks.

Epic Fireworks

No Bonfire Night is complete without an impressive display of fireworks. We're not talking about the pathetic kind that leave you hanging, we're onto bigger things: Epic Fireworks.

Formally known as Jimmy's Wholesale Fireworks Ltd, Epic Fireworks have had a re-brand as their products get bigger and better, leaving their customers, including us, wanting more. We set off a variety of their fireworks, from the Star Shower and the Halo to the Thunder Finale, and it's safe to say we were far from underwhelmed. These fireworks seriously went off - much to our neighbour's displeasure.

All of their fireworks are of the highest-quality and the lowest prices making them one of the most successful fireworks distributors around. The best part? They deliver straight to your front door, eliminating the hassle of having to venture out before the big night. If you're looking for some fireworks to make your guests 'oooh' and 'ahhh' this Bonfire Night, you know where to go.

Stock up on your fireworks this Bonfire Night on the Epic Fireworks website.

Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire Cinnamon

Jack Daniels created this firey infusion with the aim to heat us up from the insides out, and boy does it do just that. This whiskey blend holds a kick - a kick in the throat and a kick in the liver. The Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire is a concoction of their classic Old No. 7 whiskey and some hot cinnamon liqueur, delivering a combination of a smooth taste with a punchy finish. This whiskey is all you need for a winter warmer this Bonfire Night.

ADMIRAL VERNON'S Old J Tiki Fire 151 Spiced Rum

This is a spiced rum with a difference - the difference being that it is 75.5%... Are you listening now?

The Old J Tiki Fire Spiced Rum is a winter warmer filled with flavour. This rum keeps the same recipe of sugars and spices but with a much higher proof, making it a pretty damn strong spirit. With notes of sweet, spicy vanilla pouring through, we HIGHLY recommend mixing this spirit... it will quite literally blast your head off. Serve this spiced rum over ice with coke or ginger beer and a couple of fresh lime wedges to bring out the flavour. We love the rum and we love the bottle.

Head over to The Drinks Basket website to fill your trolley this Bonfire Night.

El Jimador Tequila

Tequila may not be the most traditional Bonfire Night drink, but it's 2017, so anything goes. El Jimador has now released a limited edition bottle of their tequila in celebration of Day of the Dead. The bottles, which come in two colourways for the two tequila types, were created in collaboration with renowned artist David Lozeau. His iconic designs see the bottles in a bright blue and a mustard yellow with the traditional Catrina style skeletons on the front. These are vibrant bottles for a vibrant drink.

The El Jimador Blanco tequila, 38%, comes in the blue bottle, made with 100% hand-harvested blue Weber agave and naturally fermented and double distilled for the best taste you can get. In the yellow bottle, you'll find an El Jimador Reposado, again made with 100% hand-harvested blue Weber agave which has been naturally fermented and double distilled. The difference is, this tequila goes through a two-month brew in handmade American oak barrels which gives the spirit a whole load of additional flavour.

These tequilas are not to be missed this Bonfire Night with their flavourous tastes and warming nature.

Check out the El Jimador website for more.

Bakes Box Freak Shake Kits

You may already be aware of the freakshake trend, but if not, let us enlighten you as to what this jar of deliciousness is. A freakshake is a glorified version of a milkshake. These can contain ice cream, brownies, sweets and of course, milkshake, to create the most calorific and tantalising drinks you've ever encountered. Usually, you find people forming unorderly queues outside cafes that sell these marvellous creations, however, now we can make them in the comforts of our own homes, and what's better? They're alcoholic.

Bakes Box is a creative bakery who create the most amazing DIY baking kits, one of them being the Freakshake Kit. Other kits include Cookie Kits, Chonut kits (a cross between a doughnut and a choux bun) and Salted Caramel Brownie Kits. Their Freakshake Kits come delivered in a box containing a large glass jar packed with all the ingredients you need. It also comes ready with a straw and an instruction card.

This Bonfire Night, why not stock up on some boozy Baileys or Kraken Rum freakshakes to enjoy in front of the fireworks. The S'mores flavour may not have alcohol in, but it tastes just as good, too.

Find yours on the Bakes Box website.

Ardbeg Whisky

Whisky has got to be one of the most, if not the most winter warming spirits about. Full of flavour and a whole load of character, we introduce Ardbeg's new whisky: Ardbeg An Oa. This beauty is a single malt scotch whiskey - a new addition to their already-amazing range. It comes in their signature mystery green bottle - the perfect aesthetic for a Bonfire Night gathering.

The Ardbeg distillery was founded in 1815 - proof that perfecting a good thing takes some patient time. The distillery lies in Scotland on an island called Islay, where they create their delicious whisky to a high demand of enthusiasts.

Our first impression of the Ardbeg An Oa was the smokey hit it gives off; this is how we knew it was the right whisky for Bonfire Night. Upon tasting the light gold whiskey, the smokiness is eliminated, and instead, notes of dark chocolate, aniseed, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove shine through.

We challenge you to try it now. Head over to the Ardbeg website for more.

Melt Chocolates

Hot chocolate shouldn't just be limited to the colder months, and with Melt Chocolates' version, you'll certainly make sure it isn't.

Melt Chocolates are London's very own luxury chocolate makers, creating an extensive range of chocolate products including our new favourite hot chocolates. As the name suggests, Melt's hot chocolates really are made by melting, not mixing. Unlike the normal powders you find in the supermarket, Melt creates their hot chocolate by supplying chocolate buttons which you melt into hot milk. This creates the most delicious, smooth textured drink - much better than sipping on a hot choc only to get a mouthful of an unsuspecting powder clump.

In addition to these melting hot chocolates, they create Hot Chocolate Blocks. These are quite literally blocks of the melting chocolate on the end of sticks. Available in both dark and milk chocolate; simply warm up the milk in a mug and away you go.

DISCLAIMER: we have found Melt's Hot Chocolate also double up as incredible chocolate buttons for a quick snack...

Check out the Melt Chocolate's website to keep things smooth this Bonfire Night.

Treason by James Jackson

We're excited to bring something completely different to our Top Picks. This very fitting selection comes in a form of a novel, and how fitting this book is.

Released only this October, Treason by James Jackson is an exciting, thrilling novel revolved around the gunpowder plot in London. This book explores the story with some unexpected twists as spy Christian Hardy races against the clock to uncover the secrets behind one of London's most dramatic events.

Author, James Jackson, has written numerous historical and contemporary thrillers, and Treason is yet another example of how he ingeniously unites factual research and fiction together to create a novel you can't let go of. We can't put Treason down, it's the definition of a page-turner. This is a book for any lovers of the recent BBC documentary 'GUNPOWDER', or for anyone who simply enjoys a great read.

"Behind the famous rhyme lies a murderous conspiracy that goes far beyond Guy Fawkes and his ill-fated Gunpowder Plot..."

Freya & Double Dutch

No, we have not selected a girl for our Bonfire Night Top Picks. Freya is the Norse goddess of love, fertility and gold, but she comes in the form of a spirit (the alcoholic kind).

Freya is a spirit which is distilled from the sap of the birch tree, which grow in their masses on the northern hemisphere. Harvested just once a year in early spring, Freya holds that fresh, unexpected taste that you look for in a spirit. Once the pure sap is extracted from the birch trees (a process that they only have three weeks to complete), it's frozen and magically turned into Freya, transforming natures finest into a truly unique product.

Despite what you may think, Freya is quite fruity in taste, making it amazing in cocktails that you can conjure up this Bonfire Night. What better way to appreciate nature whilst out this autumn? We recommend trying the Freya Martini - you can find the recipe on their website.

Enhance the flavour of your Freya my mixing it with the new Double Dutch mixer: the Spice & Oakwood tonic. We've tried this out and we can confirm it's an unusual and delicious taste. Gin and Tonics are so overrated these days...

Take a further look into Freya on their website.
