Set to transform Bestival in 2016, this year the Spaceport is being introduced to the four day festival, the stage that never sleeps.
On an intergalactic voyage into music madness, expect lasers, giant floating astronauts and a 20 meter high rocket beaming out music day and night. Headlining the Spaceport stage are Diplo, Carl Cox and DJ veteran Fatboy Slim, with the full line up yet to be announced. Sounding huge or what?
Spaceport will replace the Port Stage which has been a main stay of the festival for the past 3 years. An outdoor venue that aptly resembled a boat, the Port stage played host to dance and drum and bass DJ's who blared out electronic music from a giant ship whilst lazers shone out across the sky and acrobats performed overhead.
Tipped as a 'veritable space oddity' the brand new addition to Bestival promises to make all of your partying fantasies a reality. The big shots of the dance world have been pulled in to debut the Spaceport stage, so what can we expect? Diplo tore up Bestival in 2009 with his 'Mad Descent Soundsystem' set so big things are expected from his end, Carl Cox is in the pipeline to pull off a 3 decade spanning House Classics set and no stranger to the scene, the doyen of the British DJ scene Fatboy Slim has twice headlined the Bestival main stage so we're in safe hands there.
If that lot hasn't well and truly whet your appetites then how about this promo that Bestival have released for the Spaceport and its headliners?
