This week's My City sees us hopping The Channel to the Southern parts of France and the scenic city of Nice. Our tour guide this week is Deep House DJ and producer, The Avener. He's a producer that puts a huge amount of emphasis on the melodic elements of his beats and his upcoming single, Fade Out Lines, couldn't encapsulate that any better. Featuring the soothing vocals of Phoebe Killdear, it's prime listening for the summer months.
If you've not checked the tune yet then click play below and, if you're feeling it, head over to iTunes to grab your copy which includes some killer remixes. But enough about music, let's take a quick trip to Nice.
Where’s the best place for a first date?
La Tour Bellanda, it’s one of the most beautiful panorama views in the world! From here you can see over half of the city. You can see the beachside and places like la Baie Des Anges, and also a bird’s eye view of the old city.
Where is your favourite place to chill and clear your head?
Miramar panorama (Mont Boron), this place is one of my favorite places to take a breather on the mount Boron. The view is amazing! But way too many tourist buses from May to September!
Where do you think serves the best breakfast?
Le Coin Quotidien, Cours Saleya, normally I take my breakfast on my balcony; friends of mine advised me to go there so try it out!
Where is your favourite place to party?
Le Wayne’s, is one of my favourite British live bars, from Peru to Japan, you can find a lot of nationalities here. And they always have good live bands that play a lot of classic rock and pop, really good vibe inside. I love to sing “Californication” after some Jägermeister shots!
Where is your favourite place to drink?
Le Bubbles, one of my favorite wine Bars in Nice, a lot of people from the offices around the area come to this place to exhort the stress of the day. DJ friends of mine are playing Soul, Blues, and good Deep House until 1 Am.
