With all the doom and gloom the Fyre Festival brought to travelling abroad for a sun-packed festival you're bound to think twice before booking anything, but Kala 2019 should definitely be on your hit list.
Golden beaches, blue sea and open air dancing to a whole host of genres are what's on the cards at Kala. Located on the coast of Albania, it's Europe's best kept secret. After being a huge success in 2018, the music festival is back this summer. Packed with music, adventure and activities, Kala will offer you the sense of escapism as you reach this little gem which see's so little tourist compared to its neighbouring counties such as Greece and Croatia.
Keeping everything as simple as possible, when you purchase your ticket the price will also include your choice of accommodation. Choosing between a 5* hotel, a cozy apartment or an exotic beach hut, but let's face it, wherever you choose you're going to love because you'll be visiting somewhere you've probably never been before. It'll all be part of the adventure. Prices vary depending on where you plan on laying your head in the evening but tickets are on sale now so don't wait around or you might miss out.

Accessing Kala is a little bit of the journey although if this is the hardest part of the adventure, you're in for the best week of your whole summer. You can decide from either flying into Albania via Tirana (Albania's only airport) or you can add an extra element of adventure to your trip and travel from Corfu via a four hour boat trip. Once again, putting out extra help to ensure ease of travel Kala will be offering transfers to and from Corfu, but you must check the dates these transfers are available when you purchase your tickets.
Performing live at the event will be various artists from all over the world including, Inner City - Jordan Rakei and Hercules & Love Affair. With stages located all around the village, you'll also hear music from DJ's including the likes of Honey Dijon, Hunne, Jayda G, and High Hoops.
The festival itself is held in Dhermi, a small coastal village just off the crystal waters from the Mediterranean sea. Known for its great hospitality and delicious food, it's wrapped in culture with is rustic coastline and traditional villages. Influenced by Turkish, Greek and Italian cuisine the food will be the second thing to grab your heart whilst staying there. The festival will take place in five locations around the town, all easily accessible and you'll be able to make the most of exploring the area.

Whilst losing yourself dancing to a variety of great musicians from all genres, Kala is also putting on activities to make your week long stay the best it can be. From music to wellness activities (including yoga) to hikes and excursions along The Riviera, along which you'll find plenty of beautiful spots and hidden treasures.
