We weren’t lying when we said we wouldn’t leave it so long until the next ‘The Idle Man Recommends’ segment. Nope. We stuck to our word and we’re back with another fine instalment for when conversation inevitably dries up down the pub.
This week we turn our attention to Munich-based photographer extraordinaire, Bernhard Lang, and in particular, his mind-blowing Aerial View series. I mean, how many dudes do you know would hang from an ultralight aircraft several thousand feet up in the sky, just to grab a photo? Well, it’s evident Bernhard Lang would - and he’s been obsessed with doing so for the last 3 years, compiling a phenomenal collection of shots in the process.
From vast quantities of perfectly aligned, multi-coloured shipping containers to expansive coalmines, Lang’s photography finds beauty in the strangest of places, while also highlighting the negative effects of industrialisation and the magnitude of man’s impact on the environment. Pretty damn epic if you ask us.
Be sure to check his website for more of his work – link after the jump.
