Starting his career at the tender age of 15, Mendo has grown to become one of the most requested remixers, and head of label Clarisse Records. His style takes on the philosophy 'music is life', and with over a 100 tracks under his belt he's made a name for himself as one of the best and most enthusiastic house DJs out there.

Where’s the best place for a first date?

The beach, definitely. There are many beautiful beaches here in Málaga.

Where’s your preferred place to chill and clear your head?

Probably my swimming pool… Always helps me to relax :) I used to go there from time to time to get out of the studio and get some fresh air when I'd been producing for hours and hours.

Where serves the best breakfast?

In the old town of Málaga, any churrería is great. Churros and chocolate is a typical Spanish breakfast.

Where’s your favourite place to have a quiet drink?

Since I’m a big gin and tonic fan, any nice cocktail bar does it for me. Couldn’t say a specific place but they need to have Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray, my preferred gins ;)

Where’s your favourite place to have a messier night?

To be honest, all my messy nights take place outside Málaga. Places like Ibiza, Eastern Europe, Miami, etc... When I travel to play I usually stay for a few more days to enjoy some time with my friends that were accompanying me or that live locally. Here in Malaga there's no underground electronic music club, just from time to time we have some good names coming to Sala Passion for special events.

How would you describe your city’s style?

Great food, amazing beaches, very sunny and quiet, but alive. Ah, and if you like playing golf (I don't) it's paradise here with tonnes of golf courses.

What song sums up your city?

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of “Reggaeton” and other kinds of commercial music here, so all that music reminds me of my city.

Where are your favourite places to shop?

Shopping malls like La Cañada, Miramar, Plaza Mayor are huge and you can find everything there including really cool clothes shops. I used to go there once a week. I love buying new clothes.
