This week's My City sees us travelling to Belgium and the historic city of Brussels. Our tour guide this week is House producer Kid Creme, after the release of his single featuring Jolyon Petch, Look For Me. This diverse and experienced artist brings forward big production with an emphasis on party vibes in every track. If you're a fan of a free download, which we know you are, head over to his Facebook to cop his latest track, Sugarman.
Without any further ado, let's jump into Kid Creme's Brussels.
Best Place to Cure Your Hangover?
A perfect idea would be brunching at Chez Franz, this old pub has recently been taken over by three ex- party harders who renovated it from scratch keeping the authentic brussels pub soul with a cool atmosphere. Brunch is every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 - 16:00, so perfect for a late start. It’s situated in South Brussels.
Top Spot for a First Date?
Abbaye de la Cambre situated in the south of Brussels gives you a good starting point for a walk with your date. From there you take a walk and if things go right you’ll carry on for a drink at Le Malte which has a great mezzanine and classical Brussels architecture, candle lit of course and if things go super right you've got the Conrad Hotel not too far.
Your Favourite Place to Chill and Clear Your Head?
Taking a walk through the bustle in the Quartier des Marolles to place du Jeu de Balles and digging in the daily flea market is where you'll always find something you don't need but you dramatically want. Then stopping at Pin Pon, this restaurant/ bar is situated in an old fire station for some good bistro food.
Top Location to Gain Some Inspiration?
Probably sitting in Place Poelaert watching the view of Brussels if the weather is good, or visiting the Musical Instrument Museum in the centre of Brussels, and finish by having a tea on the roof top terrace.
Best Club for a Few too Many Drinks?
Right now I would say Bloody Louise for a cool club with proper house music and nice crowd, if you're looking for something darker and dirtier ,then wood club is the place!
Top Spot for a Coffee?
The area of Place Flagey with it’s numerous Portuguese cafe for sure. but considering we are in Belgium before getting your caffeine shot you should at least try some classic Belgian beer at Cafe Belga also situated on Place Flagey, especially if the sun is shining.
Earliest Memory of Your City?
Walking around the Ixelles ponds giving bread to wild ducks with my mom.
