5 Unusual Christmas Dinners to Try this Week


Christmas is within reaching distance. You’re probably preparing for time with drunken family members, practicing how to look over the moon when you unwrap a pretty dull present and more importantly you’re probably looking forward to a week of eating as much as you want and worrying about the effect in the new year when we all immediately sign up to the gym and promise ourselves that we’re going to go running every night. The Christmas Crofter

This pop-up gone full time is bringing Scottish game to London with a festive venison burger loaded with haggis, Stilton and cranberry.  They’ll even be able to tell you who shot it!

Festive Afternoon Tea

Forget the boring cucumber sandwiches, this is an afternoon tea with a difference. From spiced turkey sandwiches to peshwari mince pies, each item is deliciously flavoured with Indian magic.

What’s in it: Tandoori spiced turkey and chutney sandwich, South Indian mixed game samosa, bombay potato bonda with green chutney, and Bangla Scotch vegetable cutlet with kasundi relish.  Sweet treats include peshwari mince pies and Vivek Singh’s signature ginger and garam masala pudding.

The Brazilian BBQ guys are offering up a meaty festive tower of deliciousness, stacked with chicken wrapped in bacon, chipolatas and pineapple.
