Then There Was Us

For the first time in our collective series we are revisiting our very first feature on The There Was Us to see what they've been up to. Jonathan Tomlinson and James Wrigley set up their very own independent publication titled, Then There Was Us which showcases the work by up-and-coming people in the industries of art, photography and journalism. Since we met them last year, they have expanded their company into 2 sub-brands one of which is called Public Source and the other, _Bottom Line.

Everyone You Know

Meet Rhys and Harvey Kirkby, half-brothers and London duo from Everything You Know (EYK). Born in West London, the duo has broken through London’s array of musical talent proving themselves to be a unique force to be reckoned with. Combining and blending musical genres, their music hints at punk, jungle and hip-hop, the pair have mastered their art with one singing and the other mixing the music.

James Wilson

All of Wilsons creations are open to interpretation created with a minimalist design, his original painting are far from pretentious. His simplistic yet elegant designs are easy to read at face value with little deeper meaning behind strokes on the paper. Believing that everything doesn’t need a deep meaning to it, instead, Wilson allows the owner of his work to create their own interpretation of the painting.
